Seven institutes decide to officialise their collaboration with TrainMiC®

7 December, 2011

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of TrainMiC®, seven institutes decided to sign an official collaboration agreement with the JRC-IRMM (see below).

Representatives of two institutes joined the 10th Anniversary celebrations, namely Prof. M. Hennecke from BAM (picture on the left ; German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing) and Prof. C. Nieto de Castro of the CCMM (picture on the right ; Centre for Molecular Sciences and Materials, Lisbon, Portugal). All these organisations promote life long learning in the field of metrology in chemistry and provide knowledge on the metrological aspects related to ISO/IEC-17025 inside their organization and countries.

The agreements were signed during the bi-annual TrainMiC® Convention 2011 in Alden Biesen (Belgium) in the presence of the JRC-IRMM director Prof. K. Maruszewski. This event coincided with the 10th anniversary of the TrainMiC® programme and was attended by about 60 authorised TrainMiC® trainers from 19 countries.

Through these agreements, experts of the three organisations will be involved in training activities in the context of TrainMiC® and the organisations also pledged a joint promotion.
