Ms Anklam is as of 1 January 2013, taking on the position of Director of the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM) in Geel Belgium.
Since 2006 she has been Director of the Institute for Health and Consumer Protection located in Ispra, Italy – one of the seven Institutes of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre.
She has worked in several positions in the JRC since 1991, including the position as Deputy Director in the JRC Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements. Amongst other tasks, she initiated the setting up of the life sciences competences within the JRC.
