During her address to staff, Prof. Glover explained her role as Chief Scientific Adviser as mainly to provide independent expert advice, analysis and opinion to the President on any aspect of science, technology and innovation. Prof. Glover answered questions from staff about communicating sensitive issues such as GMOs and on how her office interacts with the JRC.
Prof. Glover also visited some of the research facilities at JRC-IRMM, including the food and feed safety laboratories, the reference materials processing hall and the Geel electron linear accelerator (GELINA).
