9 December, 2011

A training session organised by JRC-IRMM on 18-19 November 2011 in Çeşme, Turkey, during the Turkish National Conference of Medical Physics attracted 106 participants, comprising scientists, medical physicists and students.

The training was organised in the frame of the Europe and Metrology in Turkey project. This three-year project - funded by the European Union under the instrument for pre-accession assistance (IPA) – aims at enhancing the measurement capacity for chemical and ionising radiation metrology in Turkey.

The training was co-organised by the JRC-IRMM, together with experts from the Turkish Atomic Energy Authority's Çekmece Nuclear Research and Training Centre (TAEK-CNAEM), the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and the Turkish Medical Physics Society.
