Scientists and support staff can work at the JRC-IRMM on a fixed-term basis as contract agents or temporary agents for a maximum period of three and six years respectively. The scheme is open to nationals of the 27 Member States of the EU.
Temporary agents
When no suitable candidate for a permanent position can be found on the EPSO lists of candidates, a call for temporary agents can be launched by EPSO, or directly by the JRC. Please check the JRC website and the EPSO updates on the selection of temporary agents.
Contract agents
Contract agents perform a variety of tasks, not only as a laboratory technician, but also telephonist, restaurant support staff, electrician or auditor. There are four different functional groups of contract agents, each of which has different eligibility criteria and salaries.
