NUSIMEP-6 Uranium isotope amount ratios in uranium particles

NUSIMEP-6 was an interlaboratory comparison for all laboratories dealing with analysis of uranium in particles, in particular for the IAEA network of analytical laboratories (NWAL) for environmental sampling.

Laboratories participating in NUSIMEP-6 received a test sample of uranium containing particles on a graphite planchet.

Participating laboratories were asked to measure the isotope amount ratios:

  • n(234U)/n(238U),

  • n(235U)/n(238U),

  • n(236U)/n(238U).

The participants’ measurement results were evaluated against certified reference values. Full confidentiality was guaranteed with respect to the link between measurement results and the participants’ identity.

The participation fee was € 100, including dispatch.

Due to the nature of this campaign only a limited number of samples were available. Samples were allocated to participants in order of registration until the stock of NUSIMEP-6 samples was exhausted.
