The IMEP-29 exercise focused on the analysis of total As, Cd, Pb, Hg, Sn and
extractable Cd and Pb. This interlaboratory comparison ran in parallel to
IMEP-108 where only appointed National Reference Laboratories could take part
in.
This exercise was open to all laboratories, but only the first 60
registrations could be admitted.
The cost of this interlaboratory comparison was EUR 210 per
registration.
Test materials and analytes
The test material to be analysed was feed of plant origin contained in a brown
glass bottle. Each participant received one bottle. The measurands were total
As, Cd, Pb, Hg, Sn and extractable Cd and Pb.
General outline of the exercise
Participants were requested to perform 1-3 independent analyses using the
method of their choice.
