The workshop aims at stimulating the exchange of information between researchers in nuclear physics and engineering with an interest in contributing challenging nuclear data and measurements required to advance applications. Besides interesting new results, presentations on technical aspects and new developments are encouraged. A wide range of applications will be represented to allow cross-border fertilization between the different disciplines of nuclear science.
NEMEA-6 is co-organized by JRC-IRMM, the Henryk Niewodniczanski Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. Participants will have the opportunity for a laboratory visit at the Henryk Niewodniczanski Institute of Nuclear Physics on the last day of the workshop. The workshop is financed by the 'Enlargement and Integration' activity of the JRC.
In order to enhance the workshop’s potential for high-quality networking, experts are invited to attend and participation of post doctoral fellows and PhD students who wish to present their work is encouraged.
NEMEA-6 will take place in the historical centre of the royal city of Kraków. The conference venue, Polonia House, is a beautiful six-hundred-year old building on the main square.
